A Mother’s Love
Whether we yell at, argue with, advise, hug,
squeeze, play with, or tease our children the true fact is that the love
between a mother and a child is real and precious. A mother cares deeply for
their children and wants them to be happy, successful, and to feel loved
throughout their lives. We do our best to pass along our morals and our beliefs
to our children, but as they grow and learn they come up with their own views
of what is right and wrong and their own beliefs. We can only take them so far.
When our children are young, we love them, care
for them, and teach them to the best of our abilities. We show them the ways of
life, how to nurture and be nurtured, how to help the earth grow and how to be
honest, real and how to dream. We teach them how to avoid the mistakes that we
made and how to be successful in their lives. We do all of this because we love
them and we want the absolute best for them. However, children often grow into
young adulthood and decide that they need to make those mistakes for themselves.
Instead of getting upset with them, we let them make those mistakes and when
they come to us in tears we hug them and support them and are there for them
even though we warned them this might happen.
A child may grow into adulthood and take on the
opposite beliefs or morals as their parents and that can be difficult for us to
except, but it happens and it doesn’t make us love our children any less. We did our best to show them what we believe
and they chose their own path. At some point it becomes a situation that is out
of our control. Every child who has a loving mother willing to guide them
throughout their lives is very blessed and we should all be thankful for our
children and our children should be thankful for us.
A mother understands, supports, and loves their
children in every way possible. On Mother’s day, it is the children’s turn to
show their appreciation for everything a mother does for their children. So,
today, appreciate your mothers and give them your time and show them your love
and appreciation for them.
